I broke my toe on Wednesday playing soccer with Robyn.  We were both trying to get the ball, and I kicked her shin guard instead.  She doesn't even have a bruise.  You should see mine.

I'm taking advantage of my down time to start a blog.  I've been meaning to for a couple of years now, but I  always seem to have so many other things to do.  Like right now, I should really be sleeping or revising my novel.

Hmm.  Sleep is good.

  3. If you want a snazzier background, thecutestblogontheblog.com has some nice ones--it's where I got mine. I like using backgrounds instead of templates because you can change then more easily (I change mine with the seasons) without losing your widgets (and mine are extensive, as I'm sure you could tell). Then you can approximate matching and contrasting colors for your text and links and such.

(Or if you're on a Mac, go to your utilities folder and use DigitalColorMeter, change the dropdown menu to 8-bit Hex value, and take exact colors from your new background. Hex values are in the order red, green, blue just like normal. But this method gets a bit technical.)

  5. YOU HAVE A BLOG NOW! YAY!!

But I'm so sorry about to hear about your toe. I hope it heals quickly! I hear chocolate chip cookies are good for healing broken bones.

  6. Q - Thanks! I love my new background, and it was super easy!

Steph - I love how you can make me laugh about anything. Thank you. I added you to my friends on Goodreads, but I'm not on there very much.
